California reports autism cases
nearly doubled in four years. See the
2003 DDS Autism Report,
from the California Department of Developmental Services.
In 1990, the rate of autism was 1 in 10,000. Today that number stands at 1 in
150 according to Centers for Disease Control.
These will be the figures submitted to the US
Dept of Education for 2004/2005 (end of December 2004) and will be online as
of October 2005.
